Accessibility Statement for Miaise. Operated by Deckmint LLC, doing business as Miaise. Saint Peters, Missouri.
1. About this statement
This statement covers the Miaise marketing website at miaise.com and the Miaise mobile app for iOS and Android.
The website is live today and includes the main marketing pages, the waitlist form, intake forms, and pages such as /security, /changelog, /privacy, /terms, /accessibility, /legal, and account management. The mobile app is in closed beta and is not yet generally available to the public.
Miaise serves licensed massage therapists, licensed bodywork professionals, visitors evaluating the platform, and the future clients of those practitioners. We want this service to be usable by everyone, regardless of how they access the web or their device.
2. Standard we target
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA across web and mobile surfaces.
The DOJ April 2024 Title II Final Rule formally adopted WCAG 2.1 AA as the accessibility standard for state and local government websites and mobile apps. Although that rule applies to government entities, it reflects current US Access Board guidance, established ADA litigation outcomes, and reasonable public expectations for digital accessibility.
As of April 2026, the DOJ has not finalized a parallel Title III rule for private-sector websites. In that absence, WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard we apply to our own work and use to evaluate third-party components.
3. What is true today on miaise.com
The following is in place on the live marketing website as of the effective date of this statement:
- Semantic HTML throughout: proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, list semantics, and table semantics on all pages.
- Full keyboard navigation across all interactive elements, with visible focus indicators everywhere.
- Alt text on all meaningful images. Decorative images are marked `aria-hidden`.
- Color contrast verified against WCAG 2.1 AA: at minimum 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
- Screen-reader smoke testing completed on the waitlist signup flow, intake form, and the /security and /changelog pages.
- All forms use explicit labels. Error messages are associated programmatically to their fields. No captcha-only paths exist.
- The body font, Atkinson Hyperlegible, is self-hosted. It was designed specifically for legibility for readers with low vision.
4. Known gaps and roadmap
We are honest about what is not done yet.
- Mobile app: The iOS and Android app is in closed beta. A full WCAG 2.1 AA audit on mobile is scheduled before the app becomes publicly available in late 2026.
- Third-party site audit: miaise.com has not had a formal independent accessibility audit. One is scheduled alongside the Q3 2026 closed-beta security pentest, with a remediation pass before public launch.
- Subprocessor table on /security: The table listing subprocessors may be difficult to scroll on narrow viewports. We have this tracked for review and will address it in the Q3 audit cycle.
If you find something we have missed before those audits happen, please tell us. We will triage and fix it.
5. Reporting an accessibility issue
If you encounter a barrier, broken keyboard path, missing alt text, or anything that prevents you from using Miaise, email [hello@miaise.com](mailto:hello@miaise.com).
For login or authentication issues, use [security@miaise.com](mailto:security@miaise.com).
We will acknowledge your report within two business days. The timeline for remediation depends on severity and complexity, but we will communicate a plan.
